Lots of individuals were involved during the late 19th and early 20th century to invent the television. Involvement of corporation in the research together with the inventors helped a lot to produce a better output in this technology. Using the visual and audio technology together inventor was able to change the world. From the starting, all the inventors were very much conscious about Future TV.
Mechanical Television:
Mechanical Televisions started appearing in the early 1800s in the world. Prior to electric televisions, we had mechanical televisions. The first Mechanical Television was created by two inventors, the American inventor Charles Francis Jenkins and the Scottish inventor John Logie Baird. The technology was using a rotating disk with holes arranged in a spiral pattern. Another device had 18 lines of resolutions invented by German Inventor Paul Gottlieb Nipkow, he also called it a Electric Telescope.
Electric Television:
Early efforts of all the inventors around the world lead them to the first electric television invention. The 21 year old Philo Taylor Farnsworth invented the first electric television. The first image ever transmitted by the television was a simple line. In the early around 1930 mechanical television inventors were continued to tweak and test the TVs but compared to modern electric television they were all doomed. Before 1935 all the television systems had been converted to electric systems. In the late 1920s and early 1930 the first television stations of the world started appearing in America. All the televisions were black-and-white that time.
Color Television:
In July, 1928 the first color television of the world was demonstrated by Scottish inventor John Logie Baird. From Baird’s Crystal Palace studios to a projection screen set at London’s Dominion Theatre, on February 4, 1938 he made the world’s first color broadcast. After the Second World War the color television systems design first began to be considered seriously. CBS was the first company in America to create a color television set. Another American company named RCA started selling color TV systems from 1954 in America. By 1979, even the last Black and White Television had converted to color TV and by the early 1980s they had been pushed into niche markets, notably low-power uses, small portable sets, or use as video monitor screens in lower-cost consumer equipment.
Digital Televisions:
For the first time Digital TV set was supported more than one program in the same channel bandwidth. DTV was the first significant evolution in television technology. In the late 2000 Digital TVs transition started, and all the countries across the world set the deadline for analogue TV system shutdown by the year 2010s. After that more household systems were converted into Digital Television and by the mid 2010s the transition was expected to be completed. In 2005 Flat screen and HDTVs were first introduced in the market and within a year HD and Flat Screen TV has become affordable.
Then using various technologies Flat Screen, LCD, LED, OLED TVs in many models appeared in the market. Flat-screen TVs use two types of panel technology, LCD and OLED. LCD used to be split into two further categories, those with LED backlight and those with cold cathode fluorescent lamp (CCFL) backlights. However, almost all LCD TVs now use LED backlights.
Smart Televisions:
Sometime called a hybrid television is a set with technological convergence integrated with internet facilities, it’s a device between computer and television set called Smart Television. Internet television refers to the receiving television content over the internet instead of traditional systems such as terrestrial, cable or satellite. In 2015 Major TV manufacturers around the world have announced to produce only smart TVs. Today we are living in the age of Smart Future TV.
3D Television:
By the year 2010, 3D televisions set started hitting the market, spurred by the popular 3D blockbusters like Avatar. John Logie Baird in his company’s premises first demonstrated the Stereoscopic 3D television on August 10, 1928 and the first 3D TV was produced in 1935. In 2006, Sony released its Blu-ray disc technology capable of holding up to 27GB despite being the same size as a DVD. 3D TV sets are quite popular for watching 3D home media such as on Blu-ray discs. Finally 3D TV Systems has largely failed to make an impact on the TV industry and inroad in public, 3D has died a death in the Future TV market.
